Car Update

The last major contour of the body that needed to be finished was the rear bumper area, and I think I finally have that just about as right as it's going to get for now. The next step is to model the tail light assembly and get it to fit seamlessly into the body, the same way I had to do it for the grille in the front. I'll be grabbing a few more reference photos to double check some contours, and work on that later this evening.

I may have already mentioned this in another post, but I'm thinking my current plans for this project are going to change in scope just a bit. I've already started modeling the engine/transmission/drivetrain, but I think I'm going to hold off on that aspect and focus on finishing up the body with the undercarriage and wheel wells in place, but none of the internal mechanics aside from the brake assemblies (since those can be seen through the wheel spokes).

If that's the route I end up taking, I'll be pushing back the other aspects of the project until I have more time to devote full attention. In the interim, I'm working on a series of tutorials for the website, as well as planning to teach four classes this semester that I have to prepare for.
