Victorian-era furnishings and architecture is a fun challenge, especially the more baroque elements, but also a heck of a workout. With all the complicated geometry, polished materials, and physical lighting, renders are also starting to become a bit of a hassle, so the majority of future updates will either not have any, or feature ambient occlusion renders (like one of the images below) that show off the geometry and design layout without having to calculate all the lighting and shiny materials.
Met with Aaron and Vince yesterday, for nearly 12 hours, to discuss this scene and a couple other potential projects. The gunslinger character is coming along quite well. I'll hopefully be publishing some early renders of him this weekend.
In the meantime, it's back to the grindstone. I've got 4 or 5 more unique picture frame designs to come up with, a faro table to finish, chairs to redesign and re-model, and about a half a billion other odds and ends, including a newspaper with the proper period typeface (yay for teaching typography classes).
Enjoy, and I'll be back later with more, sanity permitting!
