More than one person in the past couple weeks has questioned the size of the revolver in the scene relative to the bed and nightstand it's lying on, believing the gun is too big. I was sure I had modeled it accurately from reference pictures, and from memory of having personally handled one, but ever the intrepid researcher, I measured the gun in Max and compared it to the specifications of the Colt Army Model 1860 on which the mesh is based. Not only are my critics wrong, but as it turns out, so am I :)
The Colt Army Model 1860 revolver measured 14 inches from butt to barrel. Unfortunately, my model is 13.92 inches in length, and therefore significantly inaccurate :) I will be addressing this lazy oversight and will not let it happen again!
Just a little bit of humor, hope everyone has had as much fun with this as I have. And some day, Jim, I will model you a train, accurate to within .08 inches in length!
