The first render is a shot of a minecart I designed to sit on the rail spur that leads off from town into the mountains. Not particularly complicated, but it's one of those little things that adds detail to an otherwise boring environment (and it puts something on the tracks so maybe Professor Jim will forget about that train... hint, hint).

Next up is the new and improved Livery and Blacksmith. The first couple shots show the roof removed so the trusses and support beams can be seen. This looks pretty cool from the ground looking up, but its difficult to get in there with a camera to produce a decent screenshot with any sort of context. The entire roof system looks pretty complicated (and getting the pitches and eaves and gables to all line up right was kind of a pain in the neck), but it's actually very few additional polys. I think this is probably the biggest bang for the buck polygon-wise in the entire scene.
The final two exterior shots of the Livery show the current appearance of the redesigned structure as it looks from the street (or somewhere in the air above the street). The building has had an additional wing added to accommodate the horse stalls, and the corral has been enlarged slightly to accommodate the extra watering trough.

This is a shot of the interior of the Sheriff's Office/Town Jail. It's a little under-decorated right now, but there will be additional furniture and deco items added this weekend. I'm particularly pleased with the jail cells. Like the roof trusses in the Livery, they look a lot more complicated than they actually are, and I think as a whole they add good value to the scene. The doors are modeled independently of the cells themselves, within their own frames, so they can actually be animated to open and close. The desk is a modification of the desk from the Blacksmith's over at the Livery, dressed up to look a little more expensive, and scaled a little larger. The chair is the Faro dealer's chair from the Saloon.

Finally, a couple interior shots of the ground floor of the Dog's Head Saloon. As I noted in an earlier blog post, I started calling it the Dog's Head because I needed an animal trophy to mount on the wall behind the bar, and cut the head of a previous model I made of my dog, and attached it to a plaque. The Dog's Head Saloon offers billiards and roulette (where the major Saloon next door offers piano, Faro, and more seating area for patrons). The wraparound bar is newly modeled for this scene, and the double sidebars are copied over from the previous saloon. Billiards table and roulette table were made new for this location.
The upper balcony overlooks the barroom below, but there isn't much to look at up there besides a fancy railing, so I've omitted that from the screens. When I've added some doors to the individual bedrooms up there, I will post additional shots. You can see the stairway at the rear of the saloon leading up to the second floor.

That's all for now. I'll be back tomorrow with additional updates.
