Here are a couple sneak peek images of a commissioned model I'm working on currently. I'm about 30 hours or so into the project. The design is a Steampunk (Victorian science fiction) style wrist watch that's also a time travel device. In the animation, the watch spreads apart and projects a holographic globe with a gyroscopic ring inside it. As it opens up, the screws are also animated to back themselves out with the proper number of revolutions, and the hands actually keep accurate time.
It's pretty close to being finished, just a few more tweaks and additional layers of animation remaining. This is the progress so far:
